Paddy
I've been drinking the 'new' Kirkland's 7 year old for the past couple of days. This bottle has been open for a month or so, and I have to say that I'm really enjoying it. I have found (through previous experimentation) that it does not follow another bourbon well, but on it's own it is a very satisfying, smooth and easy sipper....at 107 proof to boot! Clueby
Having a pour of ECBP batch 12. The wife really likes Stagg Jr. but when she tried the ECBP she said it had a lot more "bite". I think its the oakiness she's referring to.

The current is Tennessee Bourbon (supposedly Dickel) right, I need to grab a bottle, I like Dickel 9 yr, this would be an interesting comparison. Harry in WashDC
Aside-Doing this on a cell phone. JFC! How can you DO this? ????? Anyway, @ whiskyfestDC. In no particular order. I had sips of PHC 24. GTS2016. 1792SWheat. ASmithBowman LE ginger stout finish. EC23. KC Rye. OF 1897. Collingwood 100proof. Jos.A.Magnus Murray Hill & JAM Cigar Blend #2. WR (several). MM (several). Bookers 25th. Then stopped keeping track. Helluvanight. Dave Pickerell was in good form. I tried his iWP Farmhouse (or something like that) & liked it. It tasted azure well above its 3 years. It'll be out in April.

Jura 21, Yamazaki 18 & 23, Nikka Taketsuru 17 and 21, a whole bunch of Ardbegs (including the Kelpie), and Kavalan Ex-Bourbon Cask - Loch & K(e)y pick that just got a 91 from Whiskey Advocate, among the notable Foreign Whiskies. Had tastes of the PHC 24, JB Distiller's Masterpiece (NO Beam funk!), Two Lanterns and Shay's Rebellion from Berkshire Mountain (very nice, but not $120 nice), EWBIB (ugh after tasting the HWMcKBIB), Larceny (I'll stick with my Wellers, thanks you), a 1967 Hiram Walker from Skinner's Auctions (just because I'll never get to taste it again!), and some Old Major Bacon Bourbon to clear my palate. After that, my notes get rather unintelligible (is that an English word?). All in all, a wonderful weekend with lot's of water in between.

A friend gave me an open bottle of this a couple months ago in exchange for letting him use one of my mics on a shoot. Sounded like he didnt really like it. I tried it a couple time and just couldnt get past the sweettarts. But it works in coffee.
Whiskey Dick
this week I've been tearing up some KC9 and some Booker's. prefer the taste of the Bookers, but prefer the aftertaste of the KC.....so, what's one to do but have Booker's first, then settle into some KC? GaryT
Enjoyed several pours of my dwindling EC Mingle (which was 30% ECBP #3, 30% EC18, 35% EC 14yr GBS). Sad I won't be able to ever make this one again, but loving it while it lasts!

I couldn't tell you this has been the only one I have had up to this point. I have enjoyed it a lot though has a uniqueness to it. I don't know what it is other than its different but in a good way. Not sure if this helps at all haha
