I decided to go "easy" tonight because tomorrow night is my bachelor party. I started with some Bookers and then had some OGD114. I may go with some EC12 to end the night.

I sure hope that your friends buy you some great pours tomorrow night. If they take you to a "gentleman's club" then probably the best that they can get for you will be Wild Turkey 101, Knob Creek, or Maker's.

Cheers to you! Have a blast!

Round two is Knob Creek, that should help quell the cough.

Long week. At least it ended  on a halfway decent note. I'm having a couple of pours of SBHHSS #2 tonight's to celebrate making it through another one.  Nuff Ced.

Cheers! Joe

It's a beautiful night, cook some shrimp and white perch on the pit for some neighbors. Having a very good pour of ER 10 and SAOS before bedtime.

The current is Tennessee Bourbon (supposedly Dickel) right, I need to grab a bottle, I like Dickel 9 yr, this would be an interesting comparison.

My understanding is that Dickel is the current source.  I think it compares very favorably with the D9.  Maybe a bit sweeter (as it is younger), but interestingly, I also get a lessor pronounced vitamin note with the Kirkland.

Did the angels steal 5% from that mingle?

lol  No - I guess the ratios aren't correct (I think I had those amounts left of those bottles when I combined them, so the result was probably 95% of a bottle).

Last night I enjoyed a couple of pours of the "Worlds Best Bourbon 2016 and 2017" or something like that but anyway JJ Bowman won the award last year and for this year.  Not sure I agree with the award (not knowing the parameters of their selection) but I do think it's a very good bourbon

Had a couple pours of Stagg Jr. last night.  Bottle is down to half, so I probably need to find a replacement for it.

I haven't heard about it winning these awards. I did buy a bottle a few weeks ago. It costs more than I usually spend on a bottle, but I think the bottle is handsome and I like the back story. I am waiting for a somewhat special occasion to crack it open.

I don't get much of a chance to enjoy bourbon these days, but I stole some time this afternoon and decided to crack into a RRSiB (Red Wagon Shoppe PS).  Gotta determine if this PS is worthy of stocking up, right?  So far, it's really good and seems like something that will take well to some air.

I finally got to try 1792 Full Proof and it tastes awesome. I had a glass at Bourbon Street on Main in Lawrenceburg.

A couple of pours of ECBP (136-pr) really hit the spot for me this afternoon/evening.

Among the several different iterations (batches?) of ECBP I've had, this is maybe the most balanced, and a real mouth-coating flavor extravaganza..:P..for my nose and taste buddies, anyhow.  :D

Out to dinner after the Card's win over Notre Dame and a 1792 and a FRSB & tried my first Bulliet Rye.  Surprised at how much I like the rye since I usually lean towards wheated bourbons.

I had a tiny pour of this tonight. Always good. Was having a bit of tough time committing to a pour tonight.

Just got in from a nice day of fishing! We've been catching a good amount of White Perch & Catfish. The one below was fun to pull in! Decided to go with some 1792FP in his honor!
