Tasting pretty good while watching the Shockers expand on their lead. Especially after having to primp the wife/daughters cat today. Nails brush bath. At least no scratches

Might have to go snag the other bottle

Now having a little of this to decide if I'm as crazy as everyone thinks for leaving it on the shelves

Yesterday was the wife's birthday so we were doing what she wanted which meant a movie followed by a late dinner at home of her favorite pizza and a nice bottle of her favorite wine. After that I wasn't sure if the palate would be receptive to bourbon but WTRB was sounding good so I did a test pour of a small amount and whatd'ya know, it was tasting about as good as ever so I had a healthy pour. When my glass was empty I didn't want to stray from a good thing so I had another.

I sure hope that your friends buy you some great pours tomorrow night. If they take you to a "gentleman's club" then probably the best that they can get for you will be Wild Turkey 101, Knob Creek, or Maker's.

Cheers to you! Have a blast!

This was my hotel stash for the night.

Excellent! I am sure that you all had a blast. Will you all have any bourbon at the wedding reception?

Long day, buying and replacing a dishwasher, re plumbing the drain in my daughters bathroom sink, along with some work stuff so I decided to treat myself to a nice pour of ORVW then moved to some OC8 and contemplating some 8yr 1792

I'm hitting up some Stagg Jr. For the first time. Now I know why they call it sipping whiskey. It's very nice but if definitely getting hot in here, someone left the heat on.

It's also is loosening up the mucus in my chest.

I think it tastes best with a couple of drops of water.

Sorry I'm new here so maybe I'm missing something. I thought this was to post about what people are enjoying by drinking not by enjoying by posting bottles and Cuban cigars in artistic poses? Maybe it's an inside joke. Now if I saw the same bottle with a large glass full of it and the same cigar lit on top of that glass than very cool.

It seems clear to me that he is drinking Lot B.  I'm not sure what your point is.

Old Fitz has been going on about the Old Fitzgerald BIB.  After watching my Cardinal's go to 11-0 with an 8-7 win over Eastern Michigan U we stopped by the Beverage Warehouse and not only did they have  6 or 7 750 ml bottles of VOB BIB 6 ( which I bought earlier this week) but they also had 750 ml bottles of Old Fitzgerald BIB.  Picked up a bottle of that.  Had a pour just about an hour ago.  It wasn't bad, a little flat at the end but OK.  Finished with a pour of ECSmB.

Spice up front, sweet in the middle and spice at the end.  Definitely better than the OF.

I did the same this weekend, minus the state filing (God Bless Texas). Hitting KC2001 often to drain the bottle, also a little 1792FP and OF1920.

Nice pairing Dave. Maybe you'll invite me up Hwy 27 when I come to ChooChooTown.

Is he? It looks like he's taking an artistic picture with an unopened bottle and an unlit cigar.

Just got in from a nice day of fishing! We've been catching a good amount of White Perch & Catfish. The one below was fun to pull in! Decided to go with some 1792FP in his honor!

That is a wise wife, indeed. I had my first pour of 1792 FP yesterday and it tasted absolutely delicious. I am keeping my eyes peeled, hoping to find a bottle here in town.

Tonight I celebrate Lawrenceburg with my pours, as I stay up too late on a work night (watching episodes of season 3 of _Breaking Bad_).

I love Russell's Reserve, but it tastes a little weak tonight drinking it after a healthy pour of Four Roses Single Barrel.

Yesterday it was KCSB store select. The day before was Stagg Jr. I figured I would continue with the barrel proofers and try some Rare Breed followed by some MMCS.

The RB tasted hot tonight. MM was mellow, and the grassy note was not too overpowering.

Finished the night with some dickel, and crown royal rye. The dickel wins for me hands down

Local bartender friend made a whole bottle of Vanilla bean infused Buffalo Trace.

Some of it went missing......mmm.

Might have to make a vanilla infused whiskey of my own. :)
