OldFitzWithTheGoldLabel
and?I am probably one of the lone outcasts on here who actually likes Jefferson's, but I think it is too expensive. It costs about $10 more than Buffalo Trace here.I will post my full results in the tasting notes section.Buffalo Trace was the clear winner here for me.What was odd, though, was that the Jefferson's kept reminding me of High West Double Rye. My brain kept telling me that I was drinking a rye whisky even though I know I was drinking bourbon. Very odd. At roughly $10 a bottle cheaper, I will buy more Buffalo Trace than Jefferson's, but I will still buy some Jefferson's from time to time. I just love that Double Mint flavor (it's in one of my all-time faves Old Fitz BIB) and that combined with the fact that I had a few pours and some discussion with Trey Zoeller will likely make sure that I keep some Jefferson's on hand. I just wish it was $10 cheaper.Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
0895
A little 4 roses small batch today. Just because its been awhile... also a bit of smooth ambler contradiction. I'm just tired of this (1/2way through) and want it gone...

Kpiz
Opened up an ER10 store pick to do a quick SBS with the other ER10 store pick I have open. They are much more similar than I thought they'd be...the first store pick I opened tasted very oaky to me but I guess there's a decent amount of oak in both. Both solid selections, will have to complete this exercise again with larger poursSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Might well be some rye whiskey mixed in their for all we know. What ever it takes to keep filling the bottles! We learned that well enough with the Jeff Presidential Select 18 made allegedly from a wheated mashbill from S-W in 1991. Start listening here at 5:40 mark. Label happily advertises that it has a S-W wheated mashbill from 1991. But I sure don't remember seeing that a 20yo rye mashbill bourbon that was added to it being noted on the label... Masset1982
Enjoying some WT-03RB after having broken the cork. It's a really nice one, on the nose, it's less oaky than the WT12 yo. It's definitely younger but very tasty. Cheers! Will.

The JPS 17 was good, and pretty much taken for what it was advertised as being. But like Bruce posted, the JPS 18 was pretty suspect. As for what I'm drinking, well I got my BIB back on tonight. So far, it's Mr. Dant followed Mr. Brown. Cheers! Joe
