Thanx.    Not bad considering how many are seeking the few bottles coming through the chute.    Good for you!    Cheers!!!!

Nice of you to share that info JPK. Too bad it's half a state away from me as I have been wanting to try some Elmers, especially at that price. Oh well, I'm hoping one pops up closer some day.

There were two bottles of ETL that popped up at about retail ($42 in MA) at one of my local stores that stocks much more of the bottom-shelfers.

I bought one and left the other for someone else who might need a Happy New Year!

Huh, bought two (2) bottles of ETL last week for $23.99 OTD.  Still had several in stock back then, but probably sold out by Christmas - rather be lucky than good, eh?

I bought my first bottle in MA a couple weeks ago for $32. It was the first time id seen it in a while...I regret only buying one.

Am I the only one who doesn't think ETL is worth hunting for? It's fine, but it's no better than other mid shelf bourbons that are on the shelf every day.

I really enjoy the taste,  It doesnt have a thick mouth feel that would bring it up a notch for me. I dont think its worth hunting for, especially if your paying more for it than a bottle of say...rare breed.

I've gone through two bottles of ETL, and I am in agreement with you.  It just seems weak to me.  For that matter, I am not taken with the BT corn/rye mashbills.  I don't get any excitement from the 90-100 pf BT products.  I'm not boycotting BT, but I seem to more easily gravitate to other producers.

I think as far back as 2008 was my first similar post saying the same. Even then it was, around here, at least 5 dollars more than Buffalo Trace. And yes, a single barrel and slightly different mash bill, but I never got on taste how it was priced or worth more...at least for me.

This was my 1st taste of ETL. It's good for sure. It isn't my favorite....and thank you bourbon gods for that...lol It is hard to find around here. I definitely feel for those whom have this at the top of their list.

My fav so far is the old EC12. Not sure what is worse...having your favorite pour discontinued or just hard to get.

At least with me and the EC12, I can put it out of my mind.

For me ETL was a "gotta try it if I ever get a chance" type bottle. Now I've tried it and it's a "been there done that" deal now.

Glad I tried it. I liked it. Time to try another type.
