flahute
I'm currently drinking from an old bottle style ECNAS. It's not as good as the new bottle style ECNAS 1789 I recently finished.

And am always tempted to buy buy buy because it's a classic and it's gone and my sense is it will soon be fetching much more than the 30+ I see it for so often. Wise man. People don't have vision. To think, it wasn't that long ago that people could have stocked up on all the age stated Wild Turkey they wanted. Now, the same people who ignore the current buying opportunity of EC12, they covet WT8 and WT12. Go figure. I missed the WT train, but not going to make the same mistake again. I have accumulated enough EC12 to last me a good long while. If a person really enjoys EC 12 year, I recommend they do the same.

I hold a small glimmer of hope that just maybe I can find a bottle with the age statement on the back. Makes me wonder if I should be buying ER and the occasional KC that still has the age statement. I can point you to a store with a couple family size bottles on the shelf. They have been there a couple months but I'm not sure how long they're going to last

I bought three bottles of age stated KC, they were 2015 Belmont Stakes bottles for $23 so I figured at the time one way or another it was probably worth it. Personally I like KC but usually just buy the single barrel.

Yeah all thats left in my area are 1.75's I have two but it's hard to convince myself to buy another, it would be awesome to pick up two 750's to decant the 175's into. Dgriffin
I know of a few LS, in my area, that still have EC12 bottles (age on the front and back) on the shelves. I am slowly picking them up. I want to try the new version, but I think I will wait until I do not have the option anymore.

There are alot of small bottle shops around here, have not visited most, but there could be some EC12 in them.
IncredulousNosco
Took a trip though Canada last week. They still had lots of front side age statement bottles. Even at the exchange, still quite a bit on the high side on price. That would work out to be ~ $37 US. Luckily I still have a couple of stores local here in Rochester that have some back-side age stated. It's funny, one store has backside age stated bottles next to new-type NAS bottles. And people keep buying the new NAS bottles...shiny new thing, I guess. So at the LCBO in Hamilton, Canada:

M1marksman
Could someone post a picture of a bottle with the age statement on the back. I can't say I have ever laid eyes on one. I've actually seen the NAS bottles displayed with signs that read "Elijah Craig 12 Year Old". I guess they aren't concerned with truth in advertising. I think that the typical sales associate tasked with assembling the displays and tacking up the signage has no idea the liquid in the bottle has changed. I see this happen frequently but have seen no evidence of intent to deceive.

(slightly off-topic) I can forgive a sales associate for such mistakes, but I recently went to a Heaven Hill bourbon tasting and the HH rep incorrectly told everyone the EWSB is 10 years old. Maybe they want to reassure everyone that the quality is still consistent but the label clearly stated a barrel date of 2009 and a bottle date of 2016. There's a whole thread elsewhere here about "Things Tour Guides Say" that are not quite true. They're typically reciting from scripts rather than personal knowledge, though some do know more and freely insert that knowledge into their tours.
