OldFitzWithTheGoldLabel
This hit some stores in Chicago area. Anyone tried it yet?I have not seen any in stores. How much does it cost in Chicago? It is only in 375 ml bottles, right?I love Wild Turkey, so I would love to try a bottle. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a bottle around town.Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk It's $50 for a 375ml at Binny's, so its pricey for a blend of 6, 8, & 12 yr. But it's 104 proof.
DeepCover
I'm not opposed, but I'll await some reviews first. That's high for a 375ml WT blend.
jvd99
That's a bit pricy for 1/2 bottle. Why not just get Decades or a MK for a little more
amg
Following the Beam Signature Craft model, I see. Also, I've heard secondhand that the Russells had nothing to do with these "Whiskey Barons" releases, so I'm skeptical.

Whiskeythink.com
The new Bourbon County Reader has an interesting article on the history of Ripy. Ernest Ripy Jr, the signature on T's bottle note, was great-grandson of James Ripy, the Irish immigrant that started it all. Ernest also trained Jimmy Russell. zeeck
I grabbed a bottle and will likely open it up this weekend. I'm very curious to try it. Also may grab a bottle of the Bond & Lillard.
kevinbrink
Really interested in hearing how this compares to Rare Breed which IIRC is a blend of the same ages.
