How many batches of KC 2001 were there?

I have seen three but heard rumors of more. Maybe the "success" of the first three has somewhat tempered that notion...

Here is a store I found at random on google advertising a batch 4 but no idea how accurate that is.

There is also a rumored Knob Creek 25th Anniversary coming out at 125 proof. How much Beam/Suntory (or B/S for short?) tries to get for that one remains to be seen.

Yea, these aren't even behind the counter or in the glass case anymore from what I've seen recently.  It's joined WT Diamond on the normal shelves collecting dust.

I saw a batch 5. Wasn't sure how many there were. I thought 3 but maybe not?

Maybe they were delivered in a regional fashion something like the way different batches of a PHC release are sometimes found in different parts of the country.

So perhaps batch 4 or 5 won't necessarily be found in the same places that 1 and 2 were.

My local had 5 batches.  I bought a few of batch 1, and have little desire to try any of the other batches.

They are not moving. I asked about it at one location, & said they had 6 cases of the stuff in the back.

I can proudly say five batches and I haven't tried any of them. I have no desire to drop $100 or more on this one when there are store pick bottles of KC in the 12-15 yr area that can be had for $35 or so.

The correct answer is too many right?

No such thing as too much bourbon.

I would say there is such thing as too much overpriced bourbon.

Sure, but if it's truly overpriced and no one buys it they'll put it on sale. If people buy it anyway, then I guess it wasn't really overpriced, but that's money coming out of their bourbon budget that they might not spend on Knob Creek Single Barrel, so that means more for the rest of us.
