I remember that Bourdain show now that you've jogged my memory.   That guy seemed to go out of his way to show how much he loves ordinary or out of favor things just to prove he's down with the hipsters (or because it's ironic).  He seems like the exact kinda guy that goes all in on the bourbon secondary for a hot minute until it's not cool anymore.

Maybe, but he seemed quite authentic (and a touch intoxicated) when he celebrated Weller and Waffle House.

Perhaps.  I'll have some Weller, but I'll pass on the Waffle House and the 57

I absolutely love Waffle House and Heinz 57. The Waffle House founder, Joseph Reynolds, passed away on March 3rd. My son's favorite restaurant is Waffle House. In my younger, wilder days; I would get Waffle House t-bone dinners at two or three in the morning and would have some BYOB WT 101 or Kessler with my meal. I had never heard of Weller back in those days.
