I spent enough last year to qualify.

Anyone know if they can get you anything other than pappy?

Btac? Limited Japanese stuff?

my store isn't very helpful.. they said I'll get emails?

But out the only emails I get are about free wine tastings.

So far, Pappy and BTAC.  I haven't seen anything else in that category (but that's plenty to me).

...and is it by calendar year or a rolling 12 mo history?

It is calendar year, Jan 1 to Dec 31. I've never hit Grand Reserve, no matter how much RHF and Hancocks I buy there, though they help since in my area they count as "Spirits Direct" which gets you an extra 5 points on the Dollar.  Dipping into Rum's lately will probably help since they have some decent selections there.

Yea, Seale's 10 is a Direct as well.

Just picked that up as well as the Doorly's XO and 12 Yr (Also Direct) solely out of the interest in seeing how the three compare was tempted to pick up a Real McCoy 12yr but since it was about twice as much as the Doorly's 12 I skipped it.

I'm pretty sure I spent more than 2 grand with them last year but didn't trigger anything.

With Seale's 10 at $30 I think you'd need to float a boat with it.

Doesn't matter how much I spend with them:

Program enrollment and perk delivery are not offered in the following states:

  • Kentucky
  • Massachusetts
  • Minnesota
  • Missouri
  • Wisconsin

I'd trade TW perk enrollment in a heartbeat to be in a K+L ship state ;)

Seems like another great program for them to gather up all your personal information, track your purchases and sell your information.  Plus it will all be sitting there in their database for the next big identity theft security breach.

Do you think I can get points for aluminum foil?  I need it for my off the grid hats . . .

I bought 3 bottles of lagavulin 25. That alone put me over the edge.

$2500 is the cutoff.

The process (which describes it very favorably) was different with both.  FWIW, I'm in Nevada/Las Vegas so I'm sure it depends on each location, etc.  Here only one location out of five gets the good stuff.

For Pappy, there was an email one morning with a first come, first serve two bottle limit.  I was out of town so I missed it, however, those who were here scored huge.

For BTAC, it was an email rez upon notification.  There was a glitch and I went to the store and they let me buy one.

Prices for both were probably slightly above MSRP.  My BTAC Stagg was $100.

Yes, Summerlin is the one.  I actually don't live anywhere close to it, but have it as my store because of the preference it has over the others.

So you have a location assigned to you? I don't know how mine would work since I buy from TWs all around the country. Surely the spend is tallied collectively across all stores where you give them your number?

Would the store that contacts you then be the one closest to your registered address?

If you login to your account you can set it in your account settings.

Are you grand Reserve or just Reserve? These just opened up in my area Houston including one last weekend down the street.

I can see myself hitting Reserve but not grand.

Wondering should I do most of my spend here or Spec's. Spec's seems like you don't get a shot at anything unless your a bar that spends crazy money.

They also supposedly keep the harder to find bottles at customer service, but just based off simple Blanton's when they get a case it's gone in a hour or so of opening.

I'm grand reserve, but it just lets you get the email.  The stores do not hold anything for you (or at least not for me).

The grand reserve status also involved some Goose Island Bourbon County Stout that I was able to reserve a bottle of.

Ok interesting for Grand a Reserve that's at least $5K in spend from what I can decipher.

You must really like your hooch.

Make it 10 times your spend to accumulate points from what I can tell. That seems doable as I do enjoy abusing my liver.
