Favorite "Justified" Bourbon

Started watching "Justified" again tonight. Just one episode a night if I can restrain myself. Poured some WT101 to enjoy with. Boyd offers Raylan a shot of Jim Beam for old times sake but I wasn't up for that. When they get around to pouring the Blanton's my attitude will be different.

Do you have a favorite bourbon to enjoy along with "Justified" or does the show have no influence on your choice?

I haven't watched in a good while, and my ole noodle ain't what it once was; but my recollection is that more than any other; I poured Wild Turkey 101 to enjoy with an episode of Justified.     I had a few pours of Blanotn's; but they always seemed a little too sophisticated for the accompanying entertainment.    I'm sure there were more than  few Elmer T. Lee's, as well.

Old Forester Signature was normally my "Justified" pour of choice... But I would deviate at times and throw in a Weller (normally OWA) or a Elijah Craig 12yo.

If I'm watching it, I'll probably be like Arlo, and drink some WT101

No way I'd have some JB white label like Raylan.

But to simply reminisce about Justified I like to take me and my big stupid baby head into any random bar and order PVW

Such a great call by the writers to make bourbon a prominent part of the show and perfectly match the brands to the characters drinking them. Absolutely wonderful that they made the main character not give a crap about what bourbon he drank.

I got the idea that Art and Boyd drank bourbon because they enjoyed it. But Raylan drank it out of tradition and mostly just to get drunk.

This is what got me really into bourbon.  However, I would dedicate a bottle each year of the ORVW Rye to drink while watching each season.  Only the best for "Justified"!  IMHO the best television show ever made.

Well, hate to admit it, but watching "Justified" got me into drinking bourbon!  Hard to watch that show and not be curious about all that brown water they're drinking.  If I recall, Raylan Givens calls Pappy, "Piper Van Winkle", and Beam "Jim Bean" - found that irreverence hilarious!  One of the best written and acted shows aired I the past 20 years (along with "Breaking Bad") IMHO.

Watching it again gives you the chance to appreciate all the little touches that may have zoomed past you on the first (or second) go-round. When Raylan smashes Dewey's face into the steering wheel, for example, he calls him as "Chinatown"--a reference to Jack Nicholson's split nose in the movie.

D*mn I miss that show. Still can't drink apple pie. Usually enjoyed ETL when you could easily get it.

Great show and somewhat realistic.  I happen to be friends with a US Marshal who works in the Lexington, KY office, but he is primarily a beer drinker.  For me, I usually had some Blanton's or would dip into my Weller 12 stash.
