Would anyone be interested in meeting up sometime in the next month or two in St Louis? I would be willing to arrange something.

Option 1 meet at my house

Option 2 meet at a bar

Option 3 set up a local distillery tour

...or make another suggestion

I'd be in! Maybe Still 630?  Although if at a house would be a better opportunity to try to some different stuff we'd bring (with designated drivers of course!)

I'm gone a big chunk of June (13-127).

I have a bourbon night at my house every other month. I'm up in Ferguson though. I know that's a hike for some.

My wife has a weird work schedule. May 13 and 27 evenings might work

I'm always game for hanging out.

Still 630 is a fun tour.  Just did it a few weeks ago.  Not really a place to hang though....its literally a gutted old fast food restaurant.

May 27 would probably be better for me.

Cool that you guys could put it together.  I always find it amazing how many of us have met each other in person.  Great community.

How was the Grand Dad?  And , which won favorite bottle of the night competition?

The vanilla infused wp10 and the wheated 12 year BTEC were very unique and enjoyable. I had a nasty banana taste in my mouth the whole next day. I'm not sure where that came from, but that was my least favorite...

The old OGD was great.  So was the dusty ancient age......cherries all the way.

I think honestly my favorite was the "Antique 6 year" in the fancy decanter.

That vintage stuff just has a certain taste to it, that cannot be duplicated with today's juice.

Really appreciate those getting opened up!

Great, and thanks. I agree, the profiles of many of those older whiskies are different than what is available today.  I'm not sure it can't be duplicated today , rather there has been a fair amount of intentional changing to a lighter style.  Perhaps, as the industry continues to get more healthy and our enthusiast community thirsts for more variety, those heavier, raisiny,  dark fruity, full bourbons will make returns in a few labels.

Kudos to Bigs for bringing those out.

So, when y'all gettin' together again ? :D
