Next weekend I'm flying into Charleston, SC and then driving to meet some friends who live on Hilton Head. Any SC SB'ers who can give me a recommendation on a spot to stop along the way to pick up some great and reasonably priced bourbons would be appreciated. I'm hoping I will find some things I don't usually find in MO, but mostly just want to know the right places to stop. Thanks for your time.

I don't know about Hilton Head, but in Charleston, a few good places to check are:

Bottles Beverage Superstore (Mt. Pleasant)

Six Mile Wine and Spirits (Mt Pleasant)

Forsberg's (James Island)

Total Wine

I was there in mid-April and was able to find a bunch of stuff not available in VA. There are plenty of other shops that may have good selections, but these ones were nice in my last trip.

There's a Costco in Charleston. Does it carry liquor?

I appreciate the info. I have a feeling I'm not going to have much time and will probably only have one shot at stopping - so this is just what I needed. Thanks.

We're heading to Kiawah in about a month.  Any noteworthy stores between Asheville and Charleston?  I need to fill my itinerary with more unnecessary liquor store visits.

The total wine off of Harbison Blvd (exit 103) and the liquor store off piney grove (one exit up) are where I normally go. TW has some OF single barrel left. Store guy says they have a 13 yo Kbob creek single barrel coming soon. The costco liquor store had the Elijah Craig barrel proof.

These are right off I 26 before you get to down town columbia sc.
