doubleblank
I was looking at my schedule and noted WhiskeyFest is on April 7, 2004 in Chicago. I'm going to try to work this in....anyone else going? The MaltAdvocate website has all the details....it sounds like a good and informative time for both Sc---- and Bourbon drinkers. Any comments to the contrary would be appreciated. Otherwise I'm 90% sure I'll be there.Randy B.
TNbourbon
I had planned on going until a better offer came along combining the Maker's Mark Mile (Keeneland) and SB.com'ers get-together just a couple of days later. Looks like a great lineup of items to taste and people to hear.

dhooch
A bourbon-loving friend and I, getting away from our wives, went to Whiskyfest last year. It was great and we are going again this year. For $85 you get a very good buffet, all the booze you want, depending on whether or not you want to wake up with a massive headache and/or upset stomach, and, best of all, master distillers and reps discussing their products. For the $85, there are some of the best s****h and bourbon to taste, without having to buy a whole bottle, for something that may not meet your expectations. For example, I had my eye on a $70 bottle of bourbon, which I tasted at Whiskyfest and found I did not like it!. I saved $70! As such, the tastings, alone, are worth the price of admission! We plan on going next year, also, so we don't want too many people to find out about this great event...
