flahute
Sourced bourbon, likely from HH but no way to know. Since it does say Kentucky Straight on the label and since it does have an 8yr age statement, you at least know what you have more or less. $26 is not a bad price at all. I wouldn't expect much, but you might be surprised.

Richnimrod
Let us know what else the label reveals; and, mainly what your impressions of the nose and palate of the distillate inside reveal!
mosugoji64
As others have said, it's worth a shot. Good specs and a more than reasonable price, especially for an NDP bottle. Let us know what you think!
JoeTerp
It's actually a bit of a surprise that an 8 year age stated bourbon would be that relatively cheap for a sourced product.
s2srea
Thanks guys. I passed on it today and went for the Weller 12 jug instead (of which I'm currently enjoying and of which I happen to be enjoying very much). He had about 5 or 6 bottles on the bottom shelf of the store. Most looked dusty. I'll swing by later next week and pick one up and let you all know! It's in a rougher part of town, but I work at the station (fire) near there so I guess I feel more comfortable going there than I otherwise might. That was my thought too. The only info I could find on it online was from 2015 so it makes a little more sense because you could buy bulk whiskey cheaper back then. I wasn't sure if the OP's bottle was recent or not but it sounds like it could be a holdover from then.
