Paradox
The link is working but they have been out of glasses for some time. I went there again about a week ago and they have been out. Luckily I got in at the beginning.
OneCubeOnly
Has anybody actually received this!? I jumped through all the hoops two months ago, and still nothing!
Paradox
I actually had forgotten all about it Gary, but no, I have not gotten mine as of yet either. Maybe they'll use the ol' "While supplies lasted" excuse.
jbutler
Me neither. It's interesting that the last five "free promotional offers" I've signed up for have been no-shows when it comes to receiving the merchandise. On a hunch, I applied for the last three using an assumed name. Still no merchandise, but Lamont Cranston has been receiving quite a bit of junk mail at my home in the last few months. So I am left to wonder; did these people have any intention of sending some free widget, or do they simply prey on the allure of a "freebie" to harvest marketing information?Damn ... that can't be legal; but how could you possibly prove intent in one of these cases? Barrel_Proof
As a similar consequence, though not bourbon society related, a friend of mine receives a ton of mail addressed to P.F. Lamingo.
jeff
I received an e-mail from BF the other day expressing their regret that they would be unable to fullfil their promise to send me the glass . I guess the attorney's bill came in before they paid the glass maker

cowdery
I got the email too. Did anyone get a shot glass?
brendaj
Jeff, their regret that they would be unable to fullfil their promise to send me the glass Well now, doesn't that just blow I feel like I've been had! I never sign up for 'free stuff' because I don't want my email address sold to all those people that want to send me Viagra and home mortgage offers . But...I thought, gee 'an OF shotglass would be worth a little spam', so I signed up. Now it looks like I'll be getting the damn spam, without the shotglass! That stinks, Bj
OneCubeOnly
I got an e-mail as well, but the entire body of the message is in HTML which links to an expired webpage, so there's nothing to read except the title: "An Apology to Friends of Old Forester" No shotglass for me I guess. OneCubeOnly
I fixed the broken link---they had put a space in the HTML which screwed up the e-mail. Here's what they intended to send:
