Evan Williams 2007 Maison Du Whiskey 120 proof

My brother is in Paris and visited Maison Du Whiskey and knowing my like of bourbon just texted me on a special bottle they have for their 60th anniversary, from what I can see its a single barrel Evan Williams 2007 with only 180 bottles, bottled at 120 proof.

 

Here comes the rub, its $180

 

They also have most years from 2003 forward for around $50-60, so back in the day when it was close to/or 10yrs.

 

So pass, or tell him to grab something.

I would buy one, of each....... but I'm known to do stupid stuff like that sometimes. I'm sure its very good.

An EWSB at 120 proof? That's got to be nearly cask strength. Never seen that before. The price is very expensive, but I would probably get one if I were there, just because of the rarity of it. Bourbon isn't cheap over in Europe, but you can find some interesting rarities and may be worth taking a shot on.

No way I would grab any of the regular SB's for those prices but the 2007 at 120 proof would be tempting.

I would have to get the 2007 at 120 proof, out of curiosity.  Certainly an interesting bottling!!!

This has been around €100 in a couple of previous sales, which i picked one up.

So probably wait as 100 is a lot better than 180, and they ship to the UK.
