Store pick ??

FWIW, when Spec's opened their first Dallas store, it had a good-sized deli and other food products for sale. They have reduced the deli footprint over the last few years however. I was in the Fort Worth store a couple of years ago, and the manager told me it was the chain's largest store. They had a deli, but I didn't take a look.

 

Now, thanks to you, I will be on the lookout for a CR Maple pecan pie over the next couple of weeks. How will i explain this to the wife?

back when I owned a bread route, I delivered bread to the Plano store location with the deli.  They (the deli) was always busy!

 

I was told too that the Plano location(only) would have a pumpkin pie as well...but I cant remember what is used in it liquor wise.

 

Sounds like after the pie & egg nog, you may be on the treadmill twice a day to burn off the extra calories.  Congrats on 30lbs, that is a feat!  and one I need to be working on.

This seems plausible.  I would think at least the manager would know about the store picks if one was picked by the company they work for.  However it is the biggest LS chain in TX (quickly losing ground to TW it seems) and I am only assuming the corporate office keeps the store level informed.

I saw barrel pick today (I think it was a Stranahans) that was labeled as "Specially selected for..'Our Customer's " . Lol

lol.  I have wondered if picks like this are a honey barrel or an off barrel the company wanted to get out of the rick house.
