Thanks Do you like Johnny Walker or cognac? Otherwise it may be pretty hit or miss! If you like Japanese Whisky the "Nikka from the barrel" is a nice treat if they have it.
Kane
I don't know about any of those, but in Japan I've spent a lot of time. If stopping at Tokyo Narita, there is absolutely nothing interesting to be found (and not just talking about whisky), it's such a poor "airport experience" for such a big hub. Also keep in mind that Japanese whisky is quite a bit cheaper to buy in the US. Yes... So unless you are hunting for some Japan-only release, there is no point . If looking for bourbon, there are the usual suspects, age-stated WT and such. Nikka from the Barrel is nice indeed! It could be purchased from airports all around the world, though. EarthQuake
I would recommend Nikka FTB as well, reasonably priced, good, and not something you can find in the US. Blanton's Straight From the Barrel is a possibility too.

WT 17? you mean Master's Keep 17? I'm not sure that is what was meant, the age stated WT over there would be 8, 12 or most likely 13 as far as I know and the 17 is still on the shelf here for far less $$ I'm sure if it's there at all. Nice I didn't know about that one, bottle is similar to Tradition which was fantastic so I assume it was from the same era.
Kane
Yeah I meant the younger ones. At least in duty free only 8yo is to be found.
