FasterHorses
Just passed a bunch of these at double msrp $79.99.. just silly. But amidst the regular red printed tubes there was one printed in orange. I got a pic but dont know how to attach via iphone. Why would there be one i orange when theyve always been in red? I thought i got lucky woth a 4grain for a second
EarthQuake
Each variation has a different color, Small Batch, Single Barrel, Barrel Proof, Rye, etc. Orange is the Single Barrel, which generally retails around $60. $80 for small batch is crazy, that's what you should pay for Barrel Proof. EarthQuake
Oh interesting, it's probably an older or newer batch than the rest in that case.
fanostra
I've seen small batch (and may even have) with slightly different hues of "red". I think its just attributed to date when they were released and maybe a change in the printing process. Its still the same juice as far as I know. And at $80 that is a hard no. Love it at $39 or less, but no way would I spend that much.
Guss West
I have a CEHT SmB with the maroon red lettering and one with the bright orange lettering on the tube sleeves. I chalked it up to different batches or ink blending (the bright orange is possibly missing the blue ink in a 3-4 color printer). Assuming the juice in them will be essentially the same. That is to say, excellent. Hard pass at $80, regardless of label color. Ouch. However, I have seen numerous instances of this one getting misplaced by naive LS stockers cause the tubes are nearly identical. SmB put where the Rye goes, etc.
Clueby
Yeah..I checked my 2 bottles of small batch. One is reddish/maroon and the other is bright orange. My single barrel tube is dark brown lettering. At least a lot darker than the maroon small batch. The single barrell's cardboard tube is also lighter in color. SmB had always been bright orange so when I saw the red writing marked at $38.99 I thought I was getting a helluva deal on a CEHT Rye... NOPE had it bought and paid for before I noticed... I wonder if someone forgot to change the ink in the printer when changing over between Rye tubes and Small batch tubes...
