JUST GOT THIS FROM JULIAN...

To all you Van Winkle Bourbon Fans:

Two of our whiskeys will be featured on “Squawk Box†on CNBC (not MSNBC) tomorrow, Friday the 20th at 7:50 AM.

Jerald O’Kennard will be talking about his choices for American Whiskeys. His organization, The Beverage Tasting Institute in Chicago just gave our new, 15-year, 107 proof, Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve Bourbon, a “98†rating. Our 10-year 90 proof Old Rip Van Winkle received a 91 rating. Our 12-year, Van Winkle Special Reserve received a “98†rating also in March 0f 2002.

IT LOOKS LIKE WE’RE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT AROUND HERRE!

Don’t MISS IT!

Best regards,

Julian

PS. The new 15-year pappy will be on the market in May

Any reports on the release quantity of this one? Do they expect it to be a one time, or a sustainable bottling? Is it really just 15yo ORVW in a prettier bottle? Inquiring minds and all that jazz... skep.gif

Just to mention that I did see the telecast.

O'Kennard held up the Pappy (probably a 20 yr)and

after a chuckle about whether that was Pappy on

the bottle,he proudly proclaimed that bourbon

was made only in Kentucky. I glad he wasn't asked to comment on how the barrels were flash charred.
