His organization, The Beverage Tasting Institute in Chicago just gave our new, 15-year, 107 proof, Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve Bourbon, a “98†rating. Our 10-year 90 proof Old Rip Van Winkle received a 91 rating. Our 12-year, Van Winkle Special Reserve received a “98†rating also in March 0f 2002.IT LOOKS LIKE WE’RE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT AROUND HERRE!Don’t MISS IT!Best regards,JulianPS. dgonano Posted February 27, 2004 Share Posted February 27, 2004 Just to mention that I did see the telecast.O'Kennard held up the Pappy (probably a 20 yr)and after a chuckle about whether that was Pappy onthe bottle,he proudly proclaimed that bourbonwas made only in Kentucky.
