What is your go to shelfie/ casual bourbon?

It hit 70 degrees in Columbia, SC today. Nice enough to hang to hammock up one more time. I keep some Old Forester sig, 100 proof on hand for hammock or porch sipping. Yeti tumbler, big ice cube, OF sig ( or four roses yellow). It is what I drink when I dont want to think about what I am drinking. 

Any other shelfies I should pay attention too?

Old Ezra 7 year 101...20 bucks and it never disappoints me.

WT 101, very reasonably priced, great availability, and a fine whiskey in and of itself. Often priced around $24 for a 750 ml and $35 for 1.75L in the KC, MO area.

Bulleit Rye or OGD114 + cheapo mainstream lager, think PBR, Tecate, Yuengling, the really low stuff with minimal taste

I just popped open a OGD BiB the other day and what a great reasonably priced bourbon. Easy to get and easy to drink.

I reveived a Col. EH Taylor BiB, which may become a standard as well.

Several good ones have been mentioned.    I'll add one more for the wheater lovers: Larceny.   Consistent, reasonably priced, easy to drink neat or with a small cube.   What's not to like?

With the proviso that it ain't quite as reasonbaly priced, I'd also suggest Buffalo Trace, especially if you can score a nice private pick.   Same comments as the Larceny.

I don't really have a short list of daily pours, it's generally a choice between 7-8 open bottles.  I try to switch it up continuously, not stick with one.  A KC SiB PS is probably the most common one, though...

 

Does a shelfie/casual bourbon have to be one of the cost effective ones?  While I do have some open bottles like Old Fitz BiB, HH6 BiB, EC SmB, they sit right next to the W12, Pikesville Rye, Old Forester SiB, ECBP.  OWA, WTRB, etc and rotate equally.

I recently found that Old Grand Dad BiB is now stocked at the Alabama ABC. I bought a bottle with an eye toward replacing the Wild Turkey as my everyday pour. But, upon a side-to-side comparison, I found that I still prefer the Turkey. It was close, though, and I'm not saying that I dislike the OGD.

Agree with many of those listed already will throw in Kirkland 7yr 103 proof Tennessee SBW. If you have a Costco that sells booze and like Dickel it's tough to go wrong there.

Also Eagle Rare 10 seems to be very popular in my house.

 

3rd is probably Blanton's.  Those bottles don't last long at all.
