New Year's Resolution

Manageable? I don't ever remember a time when it was manageable! [emoji33]
 
I am going to have to retire first just so I have time to make my bottles more manageable.

Retirement just gives you more time to run around hunting more bottles, so forget about retirement really helping you to better manage your bunker.

I'm pretty sure it's too late for making that collection of yours 'manageable'.     I think the best you can hope for is keeping it from taking complete control of your entire home... if that's even doable.

My resolution is to actually figure out, roughly, what I have on hand and start working through the duplicates of duplicates.  For example, I have [X] 750s of OGD 114 [where "X" is more than 4 but less than 30, four being visible to an other person at this-here time].  Now that it appears 114 will be around for awhile, albeit at a slightly elevated price, I can drink two, buy one, and honestly say, "I'm shrinking the bunker."  Bookers will follow OGD 114.  And so it will go.

Well I will always say that there are exceptions even if I decided to cut down on spending sub $60 Bookers will likely still come home every time I see it, those opportunities are certainly dwindling though.

Sub $60 Bookers?  I thought I'd already bought it all.  Oh.  I meant sub $50.  Still, my resolution stands - I have many more than I could drink responsibly in a year.

Well I did say it was a new years resolution so I still have 2 weeks left to go crazy.  I did buy a VOB BiB today and I plan on making a DC Costco run. I doubt my trunk is as big as Harry's but I'll see what I can do.

Good plan.  Whiskey is whiskey but happiness in the home is priceless.  Just make sure Grandma doesn't get into your stash.  Tell her you have a bottle count and know the fill level of every bottle.  Since its not vodka, you should be able to tell if there are any shenanigans.

I read somewhere that 80% of New Year's resolutions fail by February.  OF course, when you consider whiskey purchases and consumption, I doubt 80% last that long.
