FacePlant
A good friend dropped some very kool stuff on the doorstep this morning. Very nice to get something so....useable. 1/2 Dozen Glencairn with a distiller name imprinted and this really neat thing.
CUfan99
That is a great gift! I'm new to bourbon being a hobby so anything related is bought myself.
BamaGrad2005
The kids got me a Knob Creek gift set and my wife got me High West Midwinter's Nights Dram. For New Years, we will probably open a Rip Van Winkle or something else special. Merry Christmas everyone!

lcpfratn
I haven't received anything from family yet, but I have a lot of whiskey related items on my Christmas list, so I guess I'll see on Christmas day. Someone did give me nice bottle of 7 year old 101 proof bourbon (available in Alabama) that I hadn't tried until recently...you may know him. Clueby
We pick names on my wife's side so I will get one gift limited to $50. Only booze related things I put on list was OF1920 and Ardbeg An Oa. We'll see. My wife and I just do stocking stuffers for each other. My only other gift opportunity from anyone are my 2 kids. One of them already said she won't do anything booze..Ha. She said I already have enough. Dont have any other family that exchanges gifts. My birthday is the 28th but only gift opportunities are again from my immediate family so I'm not holding my breath for any bottles. I need to put them in touch with a couple of you local SBrs so they can get some bourbon shopping help!
Bubba-Nj
Apparently this stuff is pretty good. Never had scotch yet. Not sure if this will be my first. I'm sure Santa will bring me some bourbon!

I'll head right over the Verrazano Narrows Bridge from the kids' house in Brooklyn and dispose of that plonk for you! Heck, I'll even give you a bottle of JBW for your troubles. Yeah, that's the ticket. Edited December 23, 2017 by GeeTen

That would be a pretty great place to start your Single Malt Journey, you may not appreciate it to the point you would if you had consumed a fair share of Macallan 10, 12 and 15 already but that doesn't mean you shouldn't go with it anyway! jshleffar
Not quite a whiskey, but I got gifted a Barrell rum#2 finished with Islay scotch casks. So, some whiskey pops in there eventually. Really excited to try this.
Bourbon Fanatic
Everyone that asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I told them a different bottle of bourbon I've been wanting to try... Here's to hoping for a bourbon filled Christmas morning! I'll report back after opening presents. Cheers!
Mako254
They say it is better to give than receive. My cousin has dipped her toe in the sour mash and I happened to draw her name in the family Christmas exchange.

Bnrhodes3
I would be suprised if I got any from my family or gf. I've been buying myself so much whisk(e)y that I didn't want any aside from what comes from the UK (Blanton's SFTB or Gold), or something I haven't been able to find here myself (BTAC/OFBB). I did get my mom a bottle of bourbon cream, scotch for my brother, and wine for his gf though. Edited December 24, 2017 by Bnrhodes3

DCFan
Got a bottle of MM from my brother. He's not into this and thinks it's a good bourbon because our cousin really likes it. Hey, he got me my first bottle of BT last year tho.

JCwhammie
I got this from my brother and had a drink while at his house. I really enjoy it. He said he was looking at all the Old Forester and snagged this. I’m actually glad he picked it instead of 1920. The reason being that 1920 is on top of my list of next bourbons to try. I’m not sure if I would’ve ever bought this.

I never thought too highly of it before but that was before I learned the characteristics of a wheater. Maybe now that I know what it is I'm sipping on I'll look at MM in a better light.

Pics or it didn't happen, right? This is an excellent smoky, briny dram with just the right amount of iodine. The wife said it smelled of burning band aids, and my father in law said it was a tire fire.

DCFan
Got a couple of Norlan glasses and an ABC gift card. Thinking positive thoughts that it can be used for the ongoing PVW lotteries.
