Got a couple of Norlan glasses and an ABC gift card. Thinking positive thoughts that it can be used for the ongoing PVW lotteries. :)

24 bottles for the whole state? I don't know how you won't have that opportunity. :D

Haven't opened gifts yet and I haven't had a chance to shake every box under the tree, so it'll be a surprise.

My best chance will be with the 12 yo with 1316 bottles.

Pics or it didn't happen, right? This is an excellent smoky, briny dram with just the right amount of iodine.  The wife said it smelled of burning band aids, and my father in law said it was a tire fire.

Lagavulin 16 . . . my favorite scotch.

Does it count if I spent the last month or so buying bottles and my wife put them under the tree?

In any case, the Stuffed Christmas Octopus brought me: Stagg Jr Batch 9, Barterhouse, Rhetoric 23, WSR, CEHT Small Batch, Jefferson's Ocean 7 Cask Strength, Eagle Rare store pick, Mount Gay XO Rum, and a Park Cognac sampler pack.

Already tried the An Oa. I like it. Way sweeter than Ten. I think I still prefer Ten and definitely prefer Uiggedail but it's a good addition to the core lineup. The corkcicle wedge glass looks cool..no pun intended. And for the record my daughter knows I HATE KU!  I also hate sock monkeys so guess what else I got.

My wonderful wife looked after me this year!  I've slowly been trying different brands and mentioned that I really wanted to try Blanton's.  This was under the tree for me!

My parents got me the Duke (my dad is a HUGE fan of John Wayne) so I had to crack it open with him... He doesn't care for bourbon too much, but REALLY liked this one (might be the placebo effect, because he wanted to like it because of the whole John Wayne thing).

My brother for me the CEHT straight Rye! I've never tried it and told his wife I wanted the CEHT SmB... This is MUCH better! His wife apologized to me cuz my brother didn't get me the SmB, so I explained to her that this was a way better gift.

No bourbon, but both my brother and I got bottles of Dalmore Cigar malt from my mom and he got a bottle of Glenlivet 25 from his gf. We cracked open my bottle of Yamazaki 18 to go with them, so it's been a good day of pours.

Nice!  It looks like you have made a dent in the Duke bottle.  One of the cable channels had John Wayne movies on all day.

A friend always gives me a bottle of bourbon, either Knob Creek or Woodford Reserve.  This year it was Woodford Reserve.   He is not a bourbon drinker but I find it impressive that he remembers what I like.  He buys other friends Jim Beam gift packs and Crown Royal.

My bourbon-savvy wife presented me with a very nice Christmas present of the bottles pictured below.  The ECBP is Batch #11, my first bottle of that batch, and the RHF is the first bottle of that bourbon that I have owned.  (She proved to be effective at sweet-talking the local LS manager to get the RHF when I had had no luck getting a bottle!)  It sure is nice to have her on my side!  Merry Christmas!

My sister got me a gift that I had asked for, then right before leaving she pulled out a pint of Evan Williams from her purse.  She's awesome.

Van Brunt Stillhouse Bourbon Whiskey SmB, Brooklyn, NY, 84 proof, Lot 621.  It says it is aged at least one year in small barrels and is wheated.  It's somewhat reminiscent of SA's Yearling (at least from what I remember) although its color is darker than the Yearling's was.

I had mentioned to my Mom that I would really like to find some Rebel Yell 10 year. For Christmas she gifted me this. "A" for effort, "D-" for execution.

My brother and his family have been giving me nice presents (bourbon) for several years.  This year I got Cooper's Mark.  My brother said he tried a sample in the store.  I'm trying it now.  This is one of those I probably wouldn't have bought for myself.  I like it.  Now, I just wonder who really makes it?  Any ideas?  It's bottled in MN.  That's the only state mentioned on the label.

Lagavulin 16 at its best is my favorite whiskey of all time, bourbon, scotch, rye and all. I haven’t had a bottle in about 4 years because the quality took a small dip during the whiskey recession but that is some incredibly fine whiskey. I DO have a sealed bottle from last year in my limited bunker and I may now have to open that tomorrow.

I myself received a bottle of Highland Park 12 so far but I will see my family tomorrow
