Ringing in the New Year with some Booker's "Sip Awhile" / 2017-04.  It's the best bourbon I've ever tasted.  Incredible viscosity, depth, sweetness.  Staggeringly good.

Pulled out an EHTBP. Haven't had that for awhile. Really good stuff. Wish I had grabbed a second bottle a few years ago.

Happy New Year!

Sipping some OESK before heading out to dinner where the cocktail of the evening will be rye Manhattans.  I hope they have Pikesville = makes a great Manhattan.

I've been working on a bottle of BT as of late, and will probably continue to do so this evening.

I will also be having something else. My wife and I started a New Years tradition 25 or 30 years ago. Back when my son was just a youngin', we started buying Welch's Sparkling Grape juice so  everyone could have a little something. My wife and I still do this every year whether my son and his family come over or not. My son is also carrying on this tradition. He called us today to let us know that he bought some Welch's. The grandkids want to stay up and watch the ball drop, so he thought it would be fun for them to have some. :) Happy New Year!

Well, you guys have only yourselves to blame.  YOU created a monster - a darned happy one, but a monster nevertheless.

YOU been talking about how good SB Blend is since before I joined SB years ago now.  Well, I made up my first batch last night.  Well, as you read this, all 600 ml of that first batch may be gone by dawn.:P

In case I forget to say/type it later: Happy New Year to you all.

Started with some MWND, then some Bourbon Cream with a splash of C101 and some cheesecake. Now back to the MWND.

I started with some Stagg Jr.  Then I followed with some RR SiB PS. Now, I’m enjoying some JD SiB BP. Got to say, the Jack Daniels is really something special. Overall, a nice way to finish the year and welcome a new one.

Im convinced that BT is the all time greatest every day bourbon. It must be true because I'm a serious badass.

I got the steakhouse here in the Gaylord Texan to crack open a bottle of 2017 GTS. This will be my last pour of whiskey this year. Hard to beat that IMO. Plus, he gave me a very liberal pour (whoring it up for the gratuity, which or course I was happy to oblige). One of the other patrons started laughing as the bartender continued to pour...and pour...

More McKenna 10, because it's in easy reach. I like it more each time I try it!

Also reflecting on my other hobby, an attached .mp3. That's me on the banjo and my father-in-law singing, friends and family on guitar and base. Fun jam!

Thank you for sharing, that was wonderful.

Yes you do.

According to someone who knows, the current Rare Breed is Jimmy's favorite.

Rhetoric 23 to start, and then some 16 year old Armagnac and cookies to cap the night off.
