cowdery
As many of you know, I got interested in bourbon from working in the industry on the marketing side. I haven't done any of that in recent years, but one of my clients back in the day was Jim Beam. I thought you might enjoy seeing this, which I came across today while looking through some samples. It is the back cover of a trade brochure I wrote. The front cover headline read, "Jim Beam is the World's #1 Bourbon. And Bourbon is Our #1 Business." Not sure if I can be blamed for the strange capitalization choices, but you get the general theme of the piece. I thought the designer did a particularly nice job of arranging the labels (all Beam-owned products) so the word 'bourbon' was visible on every one. Take that Jack Daniel's. LeNell
That's a great little poke at TN. Nice job! I thought if it didn't say "Kentucky" it wasn't bourbon.

cowdery
It was a trade brochure, not an ad, but it was from 1994.
Paradox
I'm no great photographer Chuck, but I love the lighting in that pic; The way it goes from bright sun to shadowing lines back and forth, it really creates a nice effect on the 'perfectly placed, scattered' labels. ratcheer
No, all Kentucky bourbon is from Kentucky, but not all bourbon is from Kentucky. Tim
