Is the brown label going away? I'm sure I've missed something but I don't know what. Sorry if discussed already, search function on iPhone is cumbersome.

The one on the right is an older label. It looks like liquor stores are following the secondary market and charging more for "aged" bourbon.

Thanks sir.. I noticed the "raffle" on the price tag but couldn't tell that there was a reason for it to be in a raffle. Still don't.  How long ago did they make the change to the brown?

Well, now, THIS is weird if the yellowish label is the "old" one.  The bottle I bought early last Fall was the brown label.  The one I bought in December at the same store was the yellowish label.  FWIW, I loved both - wonderful mushroom, leaf mold, compost pile dirt essence with a hint of oak char leading to tummy mellowness with no headache the next AM.

Note to self - put a 750 of this in The Box with me.  Maybe two - it could be a long journey.

They switched to the brown label last year. As always, there's still some old label out there kicking around in the distributor warehouses.

21.99? $24.99?  Isn't this the same stuff for $11.99:

I did a blind taste on the OE7101 and the Virgin and couldn't tell them apart - for me the Virgin7101 became my pick due to price and not finding a difference in the whiskey.

Alabama state price for Virgin 101 is now up to $14.99.  They are getting smarter at recognizing price/value imbalances.

Maybe, HH raised the price to the AABC?

Damn...I hate when that happens.  Its plenty sippable, but at that price, I might rather have EWBIB.  Except, it makes an exotic traveler to further regions that haven't seen it.

We have it in Alabama, but I've not seen it TN, GA, or LA.

Its also in NC at 13.99 but almost always on sale at 12.99.  I always pick up 3 or 4 when I travel down to NC for work.  I believe I heard it was only available in AL and NC, but could be wrong

I've seen it recently in Kansas City.  Price was around $15 I believe.

I thought OE7 at $18 was the best value going but a 101 proof 7 year for $11 in today's market is robbery

I am trying this for the first time tonight , the Ezra. It is so light for 101 proof. No burn. This is really good. The new all brown labeling is ugly, but this drinks nice. Think I paid 23.00. Maybe I can find the Virgin when in Ky in March.

Where did you find this? I would buy as Old Ezra 7 year is a decent sip

EDIT: read thru and see that it was in AL and NC

I would like to find some in CO for a cheap drink.
