GeeTen
No more "6 Year" age statement on the neck label or anywhere else on the label! Boooooo. Edited March 2, 2018 by GeeTen
jvd99
That neck label has been morphing for awhile. It first dropped the age statement and just put a "6" on the neck, which was a bit misleading, and then some time ago dropped the 6 and went to the 100 Proof label. Still a great budget bottle nevertheless
Richnimrod
Yeah, the six-year-old BIB (Age Stated) has been increasingly difficult to find in the last three years. I haven't seen a single one (in my own area) in about a year. It's become a true "Dusty". On the upside; the NAS 100-proof has still been a consistent pour for very reasonable cheddar. ...And a SBS I did recently showed a very slight difference between the two labels. flahute
Gee - this one went away a few years ago. You may have been fooled by the 6 that used to be on the neck label.

Yeah, it's tough when my eyes don't "open wide".

Ha ha - I think at least I am (as long as it's all in good fun and bourbon fellowship)!
cdcdguy
Even with no age statement, the last bottle I bought is fantastic! I even prefer it over HH6 which I love.
jvd99
$11.99 at my LS - NAS or not - it’s a good buy
Harry in WashDC
I posted a picture of this and its two prior labels here - VOB BIB has a new neck label. By Harry in WashDC, August 9, 2017 in General Bourbon Discussion FWIW, I opened one of my "6 year" bunkered bottles (note - MUST put a damn light back there) by mistake. Tasted all three. Marginal difference IMO.

FWIW, I wasn't sure there was a difference - at least one not greater than, say, an OGD BIB from 2015 and one from 2018. I can say there was less difference between the VOBs than between Bookers releases, and most Bookers fall within a profile for me. IOW, I've stopped worrying about it re: VOB BIB purchases. EDIT - Keeping a couple, but just a couple, of each label for future comparison purposes just in case.
