Found a place online in the US that has Blanton's Gold and SFTB available, its not KL Wines by the way, I ordered a couple they turned up on time and where 750ml bottles, how is that possible as I thought all Gold and SFTB went overseas and the bottles I have bought in Europe were all 700ml.

Is Blantons Gold/SFTB available in the US and you just need to know where to go to find it.

^^^^Not all overseas shipments are 700ml, and it is still not available in the U. S. to my knowledge.

Can you give us some more info? How much did you pay? Where? As to your question, I have never heard of both the gold and SFTB being something other than 70cl.

Wasnt there an older thread where someone else said they got a 750 SFTB?

Yes, there was another thread discussing an onshore retailer that was selling 750ml bottles that were obtained in some way from offshore markets. The markets weren’t Europe so they weren’t 700ml. Those bottles are out there.

^^ Confirmed. This was bought from K&L last summer. I think they may have done some Gold in 750s also, but I could be wrong.

Was there a recent release of these? I’ve seen quite a few people on social media picking one up in the last few days

I paid around $110 each including shipping, not cheap but not far off what I was paying to get the from MoM in the UK, and as they no longer ship to CO I thought it was a worthwhile price for what I consider to be the best Blantons I have tasted.

There are a few places in NY that sell SFTB one sells gold for $155 and SFTB for $165, the other sells SFTB for $149. Feel free to PM me I guess if those prices seem agreeable to you.

Thanks for that, the place I just ordered from was cheaper and reasonable on shipping, but it seems like they are out there if you know where to look, as far as price goes I am ok paying that, I have paid more for 'LE bottles' that in my opinion are not as good as the Gold. In my State Blantons has almost become a LE bottle, very rarely on the shelf and more likely to be found in the store managers office for select customers.

Why so secretive about where you bought it from?

We pay approx. US $82 for Gold and US $105 for SFTB here in Australia.  Both are pretty much available nation wide as is the Green Label Special Reserve for US $43 and Private Reserve / Brown label for US $54.

I’m guessing he is ordering from Whiskeyinternationalonline. I have no idea how they are able to ship to all 50 states but apparently they can. I just spoke with them using that IM thing. They also boast about being cheaper than MOM and whiskey exchange. I still don’t know how they are able to ship and MOM and WE can’t. Anyone else ever use these guys and can say the are legit?

Sorry guys, no secrecy intended around where I got them, they were from Robert Burns Wines in CA, and I think they still have both.

Just checked the website, those prices are almost worst than Europeans prices. Didn’t see the SFTB or the Gold. How much did you pay for a 750ml SFTB if I may ask or course.

Probably not any more. :(  I'm not trying to be a stick in the mud, but things like this really should be handled by pm. Wanting to help a fellow member out is admirable, but posting certain info for all to see could lead to a big disappointment. FWIW, I am speaking from experience here.

Agreed. Because the discussion here is so collegial, it gives the impression that we are a closed and private community. We’re not. PM is our friend.

Got it, I will deal with it differently in the future, by the way I just checked and they have both still available, $110 for Gold and $120 for SFTB.

And yes those prices are higher than Europe but as I can no longer get shipments to my State from my normal go to UK stores it was worth it for me.

My bad, you’re right, still available. Where I’m from, the SFTB at €69 and the Gold at €55, both only 700ml. Worth every penny IMHO. At $120, there are better options in the US, CEHTBP,  Stagg Jr and the ECBP, if you access to those, go for it.

Would agree on the CEHTBP, however not seen that in CO in forever and when you do its gone in a flash, Stagg Jr I dont think compares at all to the Gold, ECBP is another good one, but again tough to find here.

I'm curious how these get released to select stores. I understand a monster like KL, but Robertburns? What was the proof?
