Nice line up there Joe.  Now back to filling those holes left in the bunker right? ????

I'm not so sure Kevin.  I may post something soon in the Bourbon Zen thread.

Are you in the STL. area? I didnt know Schnucks did this.

Yes, and yes, they do.

Kinda like the Krogers, it's only certain store locations though.

Cleaning house today and while dusting bottles, I discovered I had room for one more on my "open" shelf.

Yay!

Fyi, that says "schnuck", not "schmuck" :)

Wow! :o

I know full well about Schnuck's. There was a fairly prominent grocery chain where I live that Schnuck's bought out a number of years ago. FWIW, I have neither anything good or bad to say about that. Basically, and for the most part there have been no ps bottllngs by them per say. A couple of CR offerings have been pretty much it (?).  Also, and FWIW, I have a fairly decent relationship with at least one of their liquor department managers. From what the way he's hinted to me, if any Pappy and/or BTAC or LE stuff just so happens to show up at any of their stores around here, it never sees the light of day. Read into that what you want. Just sayin'.

The stores are everywhere here, but the store picks are basically location specific.

Mainly stores in higher income areas and/or with high volume liquor departments.

In other words, they aren't putting store picks where they won't sell.

Each store has a somewhat different selection of liquor.  There is also a factor of how "involved" the liquor manager wants to be.

Their store picks typically get shared between a few locations, however one location might only get one case, while another gets half the barrel.

So far in the past I've seen several 4R, two BT's, an ER10, Woodford, W-pig, KC, and now Maker's PS.

The BTAC, etc. Doesn't hit the shelf here either, but it is distributed in a method I think is reasonably fair (even though I've never gotten any of it).

I opened a Tom Moore BiB this weekend.  Definitely tastes like Barton.  I'd be curious what the difference is between that and the 1792 BiB.

Cracked a fresh mgp today.

Initial impressions are very promising.

Funny.  Tastes a bit like eagle rare's cousin to me.

This has been chilling in the fridge for awhile.  Decided to open it this afternoon for rootbeer floats.

I opened a Crown Liquors 1792 Full Proof PS.  It is pretty solid.  I proofed down to around 102.

Opened a Stagg Jr. batch 8.  My second one, and I am looking forward to enjoying this one slowly.

Delivers. Eddie Russell fingerprints all day. Sweet nose, full mouth feel, spicey finish that mellows yet lingers. A real treat.

After a long day in the kitchen (making kalua pork and cabbage in the slow cooker and tabbouleh with fresh mint from the garden), opened up a Baby Saz last nite (I know, I know - it's a rye).  After drinking lots of barrel proofs for the last couple of months, this puppy went down as smooth as a baby's bottom.  Just woke up  30 minutes ago in my easy chair with the TV still on.  Time to go to bed w/o waking SWMBO.  Hope I don't snore too much (Heh, Heh) . . . . . .

"Motor Supply Company"???       Is this a NASCAR thing?     ...A local racing engine builder?     Or, is this some insider jargon with no connection to engines or motors at all?

I'm accustomed to seeing liquor stores or club names on these tags; but, this one has me scratching my mostly-bald noggin.

It is a restaurant/bar in downtown Columbia. The space was formerly occupied by an auto parts place ‘motor supply’. They had an art deco neon sign that the restaurant folks liked so much they kept the sign and the name. This is a private pick that they did. Through a friend, I was able to wrangle a bottle. It is delicious.

Thanx, Mako.   It now makes sense.   Some of those private selections can indeed be stellar, eh?    Enjoy!

I’m only two pours in but it is as good or better than Lincoln Road 990 to me.

Tonight I opened a liter of BTSB Store Select and a bottle of regular 1792. Some times the regular run of the mill stuff just hits all of the right notes and buttons for good Spring evening. Cheers!

Opened a bottle of the 2018 Four Grain while at a friends house. I like it.

I'm envious...I haven't seen a bottle of this anywhere.

How do you find this one differs from the CEHT SiB or SmB?
