Well I'm at Jim Beam distillery having some bourbon ice cream and bourbon and everything else.

My plan is to rent Neat off amazon then have a pour of HH6, larceny and Elijah Craig ps.

Helped my friends scoop Dewster's Ice Cream.  They now supply all the ice cream for Fred's Smokehouse.  Beam asked them to make some special flavors for today so they did a Chocolate Cherry Cordial with Red Stag, a Chocolate Chocolate Chunk with Black Label and a Salted Caramel with White Label.  The Salted Caramel was the big hit for the day but I liked the Chocolate Black Label the best.  Listened to some really good music and had a couple of BBQ sliders from the Smokehouse.  Also made it over to the gift shop where I purchased something special.  You'll have to go to the What Bourbon did You Purchase Today to see what I got.

Went for a hot and humid run after work, but since it is a special day I just poured a small drink of batch 2 CEHT Four Grain.  It was already open as I was pouring a sample for a friend, so was the obvious choice.

Didn't realize it was NBD, but I was at the gun club this afternoon and had some HM 10y. It was a great pour, and I shot good too.

Mixed it up - a little StJr10 to start, followed later by a little Forged Oak, RHF, and capped off with a SBS of W12 (been nursing this one 2+ years) and RY10.

Along the same lines, I also went for a hot and humid run after work, then had a little Virgin bourbon before bed.

Revisiting this (last night)  after hearing the new bottles were much improved.

Tastes like eagle rare on steroids.

I like it.

I had knee surgery yesterday and it wasn’t “recommended” that I have any alcohol. If it wasn’t for my girlfriend hearing that, I would have anyway but she was my nurse and wasn’t hearing it despite my pleas.

 

A few nights before though, I cracked open an Elijah Craig store pick and a Weller 12. The EC definitely tasted better than their regular SmB. And man, that Weller 12 is delicious. Surprised how much I liked it.
