FasterHorses
Love traveling and getting to see bourbons not available in the lackluster tennessee market. Horse Soldier 8 year wheated cask strength is one that caught my eye. Anyone know where this is sourced from? flahute
Never heard of it but at that age I can only imagine that Heaven Hill is the source.

A friend of mine mentioned to me via email today that he LIKES this. I think I saw a bottle or two in the past couple weeks. I shall do some sleuthing as my garden prep is done and I am BORED WITH MOVIES!! But then, you all know how I promise the World and deliver bupkiss. BottledInBond
They contract distill from someplace in Columbus Ohio called Middle West Spirits. But that only started in like 2016. This article has their story from one of the founders. He says that some of the people that had been mentoring them gave them product to bottle before the stuff they have been laying down that is contract distilled is ready. They list multiple distilleries and people so you can’t really pinpoint where the sourced stuff came from, but it says one of the guys grew up with people from the Brown Forman and Beam families and some of those people had become mentors. Wheated wouldn’t come via Beam unless it was from Makers and that’s not likely. Of course there are Beams at Lux Row and Parker used to be at HH, and Lux Row has bottled HH wheated in the past so it certainly could be HH juice one way or another. https://thewhiskeywash.com/whiskey-styles/bourbon/legendary-men-legendary-spirits-the-story-of-american-freedom-distillery/

PaulO
A bourbon should have somewhere on the label the state of origin. If there is only a state listed where it was bottled, then that means distilled and bottled there.
