Going to my in-laws for their annual Christmas Eve party.  Usually have 40-50 people there and my contribution is always to bring booze.  Bringing a Russell's Reserve Store Pick, Very Old Barton BIB, Jack Daniels BS SiB, and a bottle of Havana Club 7 Rum.

You're going to need a bigger boat. ;)

Most of the guest are wine and beer drinkers, so my contribution alongside my father-in-laws tequila, vodka, and gin should be more than enough to suffice.

xmas nite will be the last of the '17 P15, the 9 yr OF, & '17 GTS. gifting a 4R OESV to a buddy, maybe he will open that as well, since it may likely be better the other bottles mentioned.

I seriously doubt it!   :D  A fine bottle I’m sure, but... ;)

Going to have a pour of Weller 12. My sister has never had it so I wanted  to share a pour with her.

Excited for the tasting tour I've assembled for my family members just getting into whiskey.

MGPI (7 yo Hirsch) > EC PS > ER PS > OWA PS > RR SiB PS > KC PS (13.5 yo).

Surprise finale: Clynelish 14 > Redbreast 12 CS > Ardbeg 10.

I didn’t have any real plan, but my daughter just surprised me with a BT SiB,store select. I just dipped through a half finger. Very nice indeed.

Our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, and my mother-in-law will be in our home from Wednesday through New Year's Day, but until then my wife and I are on our own.  (The first Christmas Day we will have been without any family or guests in 34 years!)  But, traditions must be observed!  So, our tradional duck dinner on Christmas Eve is in the oven as I write.  We are about to enjoy a nice pre-dinner pour of ETL.  Then, a nice Oregon Pinot Noir with the bird.  The Joseph Magnus will be an after-dinner sipper as we watch some old Christmas movies.  I haven't made up my mind about what the drink lineup for tomorrow will be.  But, we are blessed such that I know it will be good!  Merry Christmas to all!

Out for a walk, actually walking for 2 hours but the city is dead as expected -- normal people have families to attend to. Finally found a BBQ joint open, warming up with an OGD 114.

Kane, If you were a thousand miles or so closer, I'd invite you over for a pour or two.  Alas, it's a long way from here to there.  But, I hope you make your night merry, anyway.

For me (and Gary) it'll be whatever he decides after a tour through my bunker.

As always, whenever he's at my place he gets to pick; whenever I'm at his, I pick.    It allows us to enjoy each others' company as well as each other's pours with a little element of surprise along for the ride.

I'll encourage him to consider any/all of the recent acquisitions of limited release stuff, as well as special pours from back in the day; but, he often chooses private pix to which he doesn't have access, as he lives 1-hours away.

Whatever is chosen will be enjoyed all the more because it'll be shared.    I c'nardly wait!!!!

OK.   Here's what we chose for the first few pours....

Drained down an 8 or 9-year old purchase of a 14-year-old Very Old Scout that I had hiding and nearly forgotten for waaaaay too long.    This is some stellar Bourbon!

Switched to a couple nice pours from a 2012 bottle of WLW and thoroughly enjoyed that, as well.

Not sure what tomorrow will bring; but, it will be shared and enjoyed; of that you may be certain.

Joe, if you had said anything else other than Weller I think the internets would have blown up and shut down the site.

My 2018 Weller Blend is in the glass now. I'm really not sure what I'll be having tomorrow. Who am I kidding? <_<

FYI, my wonderful wife was pretty busy in the kitchen most of the day Saturday getting things ready for our family Xmas get together Sunday. I took the time to clean up my bunker a bit, take an impromptu inventory and snap a couple of pics.

Biba and Merry Xmas! Joe

Obviously, Gary is pretty good at "hide-and-go-seek."   He appears to have found some good stuff.  Rich, I hope you,  Gary and your famil(ies) have a Merry Christmas and great holiday visit.

I also wish everyone on SB.com "Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa."

My children are all grown, yet hanging out with Mom and Dad after a family Christmas party.  Neither of them have families yet so we are watching football and tooling around the house now that our relatives have left.  The little kids wore out our 7 month old Beagle puppy.  This is normally her wild time.  She is sleeping like a baby.  I am enjoying a pour of ECBP B517 while watching the Broncos-Raiders game.

Since I received this as a gift today, tomorrow (Christmas) it will be opened and given a proper tasting.

Cheers, this comment alone made my day a bit better! Also, I found out tonight that bar owners should think twice before forcing their staff to work on holidays, lest a disgruntled bartender feel exceptionally generous with BTAC pours :)

...a crappy coffee at my workstation offshore in the Gulf Of Mexico.

But that's not a complaint - enjoying being back at work.

When I get back to land in February I've got some homemade aged egg nog which has been mellowing for 5 months (yes, that is safe. The Cadenhead 1842 dark rum keeps everything antiseptic!).

My daughter got me a bottle of MM and my wife thought she was grabbing a bottle of 1792 but somehow got a Captain Morgan Private Stock. The bottles are shaped almost identically. :)
