My Swedish grandmother had a similar saying that also included something about lutefisk and lingonberrys.......

HA!    I can't say I care for lutefisk (needs waaaaay more cooking time, and waaaay less lye!); but I like lingonberries quite well, and especially the preserves one can make with 'em.

I love threads like this - seeing such amazing bottles opened and not just drank, but enjoyed.  Hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday!
