GaryT
Forgot how much I love the older WTR101. Never struck me before - but I get this sour-oak note that I only ever recall getting from VWFRR (although to be fair - never owned one so this is from faint recollections). Regardless, it is a delicious whiskey!
KyleCBreese
Found some 2014 HWRR. Is the batch information still available on their website?

I would have thought the 2014 batches still had most info on the back label or maybe I'm just dreaming.
bourbon-n00b
I got the Michter's as part of a lottery and while I was there, I found the Still 630 Ryes. I was in an impulse-buy mood so they came along to keep the big one company.
0895
Enjoying the final pour of the Turley Mill Rye from KGB spirits in NM. 6y cask strength MGP rye, 112p, delicious!

BottledInBond
I picked up another WFE 4 year rye. It seems to be hitting town somewhat regularly now so I don’t know if I’ll bother with buying it every time I see it at this point. Left 4 bottles on the shelf this time. Still good whiskey that I enjoy though so I don’t mind having this one added to the bunker

I picked one up on a pass through in KY and I am very glad I did. The initial tastings have been very positive. I really like original WP 100%rye and this reminds me of that more than many other ryes I have had. I am a fan and look forward to one of their BP ryes at some point. Hope this gets distributed in GA soon.

The things that are coming out of that distillery after only four years are really impressive. Future looks extremely bright.

jwperry
There's a reason why I always buy 2 bottles from single barrel releases. Sometimes I get stuck with a bottle I'm not interested in and sometimes I get a honey bottle that disappears too quick. I'm glad I have another one of these in the bunker. It's crazy how "sweet & fruity" this pour got when I had a piece of dark chocolate. Bottle finished. I'm not going to dig through the bunker for it's replacement right now... JMFH
Doing a SBS of these two. 4 years and similar proof. Right off the bat the color on the New Riff has a deeper, richer appearance and the taste matches it. The WFE is solid and I can see the appeal for those that enjoy a lighter profile in their rye. The New Riff reminds of their SB bourbon and is very bold for being only 4 years old. Must be something magical in the barrels they use.

BDanner
Finally pulled the trigger on a Pikesville, on sale for $45... It's good, but I don't know if it's $25 better than plain old Rittenhouse.
Marekv8
Double Whistlepig 15 at the Sky Club. The unfamiliar bartender asked me why my name was taped to the closure— I had asked my regular guy to hold it for me. I guess he’s not taking chances.
