skiwez2
Anyone have suggestions of different sherries I should try to support or to be able to frame my tasting of sherried whiskey? I have never had sherry before so I have a feeling I'm losing a lot of the nuance that sherry casks are imparting.

kevinbrink
I had largely been in the same boat, for most of my adult life the only experience I had had with sherry was Harvey's Bristol Cream which was for years around a family functions. A few years back I wanted to get a better understanding like you and I picked up a 4 pack of Savory & James mini bottles, it helped in getting a basic understanding of the profiles for sure.
