It seems they owe Chuck Cowdery some royalties because it appears they used his first book Bourbon, Straight as the screenplay. Even though he is in the movie, I wonder if he realized how close to the book the movie actually is. That is as close to the book a movie can be, i.e. not very. Which could be their saving grace.
