FasterHorses
A friend sent me a pic of two bottles of Contradiction sbs. The first was 92 proof the second was 100 proof. Is there an easy explanation for this? There was a 10$ price difference also.
kevinbrink
Here is a Whiskey Advocate weekly wrap up that covered it http://whiskyadvocate.com/highland-park-the-light-new-bookers-more-new-whisky/
FasterHorses
Thanks Kevin. I didn’t care for it the one time I had it so I won’t lose any sleep over this change. At face value though, it seems like another negative from this producer.
TimeWillTell
Never had the 100 proof but the 92 proof was on sale at a local for $28 so I took a chance. For that price I actually kind of liked it. Soft and easy/comfortable to drink. Nothing exciting but a good competitor to Knob 100 for same cost range. But, for me, I'll stick with WT101 for $20 but I don't regret trying it. That said, I saw it at a different store for $49 and no way would I every even consider it at that price (and yes I confirmed it was also the 92 proof)
