Schultz24
Hi all, Went to a small town LS and found that they had some dusty WT bottles. A bunch of 101 with the DJ date code (2015 I believe) and KS that says bottled in 2013. I wasn’t into bourbon back then and I don’t think it was as popular as it is now. Question is, does anyone have any tasting notes on either of these or think they are worth the pickup? The 101 is $40 for a 1.75 and I think like $45 for the KS. Thanks for any info!! dad-proof
Worth it. All day. The KS was likely barreled before 2006, which would be the lower 110 proof compared to 115 now. And any era of WT101 is worth $40 for a 1.75. both would make for great SBS opportunities with their current iterations.
CUfan99
That WTKS was probably barreled at 107 proof. They increased the proof from 107 to 110 sometime in 2004. WTKS were running 9 to 10 years old then. I would grab both. Edited April 28, 2019 by CUfan99 Correcting autocorrect
