kemosabe
Whenever I yank an older bottle out of the bunker I always look for a price tag to compare it to the current cost of the bottle nowadays. Of course, during the boom all of the prices have increased. But I believe someday we'll turn the corner and the prices will begin to decline as supply overtakes demand. Both ways, it's interesting to see what those bottles once sold for - especially for those who have not been long time bourbon fans. After grabbing this OWA family sized bottle from my bunker today, I thought a pic thread with 2 year+ bottles price tags would gain traction here. Cheers-->
JCwhammie
This is from October '17. I snagged a handle and a liter of OWA. I took them to the counter, and the whiskey guy told me they had W12 behind the counter and asked if I wanted one. I accepted his offer. I believe the handle of W12 was roughly $43.

PaulO
For a long time I paid around $25 a 750ml of OWA. One Indy area store used to select barrels. They suddenly had a lot of product to move, so knocked a buck or two off regular prices. About ten years ago, I remember paying $39.99 for OF Birthday Bourbon, and ORV (when those items just sat on the shelf).
BourbonGuy
I used to pay $19.99 for Old Weller Antique. 2013 wasn't that long ago. Bourbon Prices 2013.pdf

I can't believe I found them all on the shelf in a little store back in late 2009 or early 2010. My wife and I were on a road trip. The majority of the time when we stop at stores, I go in and then come out of empty handed. My wife was surprised and happy for me when I came out with these. With a huge smile on my face. FWIW, I did leave a few behind. Biba! Joe

There is a Rivers casino in Rosemont, Illinois right by O'Hare airport. Either way, that is a really cool bottle. Jealous of both price, content and that its a single barrel pick!
