Opened and am drinking the 1792 FP I purchased today. First impressions are...delicious. Good balance and big flavor with the high heat.

I stumbled onto some Hancock’s Reserve awhile back. I can’t remember how long it had been since I had previously seen it in Metro Atlanta but I know it’s double digit years. I’m about 1/3 of the way into the bottle and it’s just not doing it for me. Kind of like Blanton’s Light. Well, further research tonight!

Enjoying a few sips of the 2012 PHC release, Blend of Mashbills. This is indeed a slow sipper. Will probably take a while to work through this; very solid stuff.

Oh yeah, right. You mean the 2nd rarest ( around Atlanta) BT single barrel release?

Nah - vat it up w/Blanton's SFTB 127.6 pf 1:1 to get Blanton's Gold.  ?

We can call that blend "Hancock's Presidential Ridiculous".

Or... Blancock's. I have a feeling there will be a preference here...

I know it is early in the day, but my Hilltoppers have a bowl game at 11:30 and I am on vacation.  Go TOPS!

There is a well established dispensation for playoff/bowl/holiday drinking. Enjoy.  ;)

Indeed sir. And I've been taking advantage of it for the past week and fully intend to take advantage of it this upcoming week.

Wondering while watching, why we need a Redbox Bowl...and why Santa is coaching the Illini...with a nice pour of Baker's.   :)

Opened up tonight with some Old Charter 8 year old. Now just poured some of my home blend of Baker's & JBDC.  Good stuff.

Having some Remus Repeal Reserve #2 tonight. A really good bourbon.

Yes I agree.  I personally like this MGP better than than Boone County 1833 12yr.

Got home last night from a 10 day Christmas visit with family. I had nothing to drink during that time except a single bottle of beer (I view the visit as a nice opportunity to give my liver a break). So I cracked open a new store pick KC and it pretty much tasted like pure ethanol. It started to taste better by the end of the pour. My palate was not ready for it, I will have to revisit today.

Note to self. After a lay over don't start with 120 or higher proof neat to break back in. :) Break back in slowly.
