Man, I used to make a mean old fashioned, but then I got lazy after a while now I’m pretty much drink it neat and proof down with water as needed. I still like a good cocktail every now and then at a restaurant. No wrong way to drink bourbon.

Well, there’s at least one wrong way to drink bourbon...

Any truly good bourbon would be wasted if not drinking it neat or with only a few drops of non-chlorinated water.  Neat is my general preference.  I do still like a good old fashioned but do not use the good stuff as mixer.  If I really want a cold cocktail a gin n tonic with a twist is a good one.

I enjoy bourbon neat, and I like several cocktails, but my favorite way to drink it  is probably on the rocks.

Neat.  Aside from an occasional beer, I only drink whiskey neat. If I have to have a “cocktail” it will be a bloody mary every time.  I love those.

Much as I prefer my whiskey neat, I have been hankering to try Drambuie. It's all stuff I like.

A quick 50/50 Rusty Nail of Drambuie 15yo and Compass Box Peat Monster Cask Strength is a beauty-- and right at 50.15% ABV.

99.9% of the time - neat, but there is a place in Indy that makes killer Old Fashioneds and Manhattans that has me drinking more cocktails when in town.
