  1. 1. You've got $40 to spend and the following bottles are all that's available. Which one are you taking home?

      3

      17
    • KC - $36.95

As much as I like RR10 and it’s a steal, EWSB has a special place in my bunker.

Same.  I'm not wowed enough by RR10 to ever buy it over WT101.  I would LOVE to see the age on the EWSiB creep back into the 10 year range.  . .

Man, these hypothetical stores really do not have a great selection.  Once again I would pocked the $40 and move on.

The 1792 SiBs are really singing to me, so I’d go with that.  Although, if I was empty if MM46 at home and had a 1792 open, I would go with that.

From this list, I'd be going with the 1792 SiB.  I drink the RR10 pretty often but at that price I would like to try something else.

That’s a bit high for the RR10.  Even at that, my money would also be on the 1792 SB.  I’ve not found a bad one, yet!

There are some great bourbons on that list,  but the best one on it is Woodinville.    Craft bourbon that's well enough aged to properly showcase the craft.    Soft, balanced and delicious.

Meh, I'm pocketing the $40 or buying one of the $20 or $30 options. RR10 is probably my least favorite WT aside from WT81 and its usually around $35 in Chicago - but my last bottle was $28 so...

RR10 is the easy choice for me especially since I can usually find it for less than $35. EW SiB Vintage is another favorite of mine, especially when it’s 8+ years old.

These hypo store picks have been an interesting exercise.   Let's see what my trips to the store have netteed:    OF 86,  Jim Beam Black,  Woodinville.  John J. Bowman and WTKS.     Not bad -  all from different distilleries,   and I doubt the price points could be sorted out in a blind tasting.
