I picked the EC18 simply because I've never had it -- indeed, never had any bourbon older than 15 years -- so my pick was more based on curiosity to scratch that itch than being an informed opinion on what of those offerings is subjectively the "best" to me.  Blanton's gold would be difficult to pass up though . . .

These prices!

Store is in a control state, so everything's near srp. ?

Blanton’s Gold... by the case!

Consistently one of my all around favorites, despite my wishy-washy opinions about the standard USA 93p Blanton’s. ?‍♂️

This is where I say none of the above. EC18 is a maybe but only if I can try it first.

I do like the Blanton’s Gold, so I’d go with that.

Non-hypothetical Little Book Chapter 4 was $75.00-- five bucks more than Chapter 3.

that store has Lil Book confused with Bookers.   Way below MSRP of 124.99

No, all locals seemed to be in the $75 to $90 range— at least while the first wave lasted.

Then the distributor probably made a mistake and charged the retailers the Booker's price.

How much was the 2019 LB Chapter 3 in your area?

I believe it was around $120 in Missouri. $70 for LB3 would be an incredible price. I agree with fosmith that the price at your local looks to be Bookers price.

I think I paid $120+t for LB3. I passed on LB4 for $129.99. I would buy as many LB3 as I could at $70!

Perhaps there’s some confusion about MSRP for LB2 versus LB3?

If only I could go back in time......?

These polls would be more interesting and illuminating if there were an option button for "Pass on all of the above"

pretty easily EHTBP, but I sadly I don't think your fictional store exists with these items all sitting on the shelf for fractions of secondary pricing.

To save someone a headache, I humbly suggest that anyone who might be thinking about potentially beginning any future thread involving a hypothetical, to kindly get opinions from the board on what that potential hypothetical actually really is in reality, prior to suggesting any such hypothetical... ???

Otherwise, how will we really know what the actual real answer is?  ???

FWIW... As mentioned in a few of these others threads, I based pricing on what the NC ABC lists for these items. That generally means most items are in line with the srp. However, I did add $20-$30 to the NC Abc pricing of the BT products in the lower priced stores, because A.) those would all likely be overwhelming consensus picks in those tiers... which would make the entire point of these threads (to make folks think a little outside of their comfort zone) moot & B.) they are all overwhelmingly allocated & near impossible to get for a lot of areas compared to most other items in their respective pricing tiers.

My entire objective here was simply to provide what I felt could be an interesting way to gauge just what really is a bargain at price points that are very close to srp... not Costco/TW pricing, VIP/Club pricing, etc.

I recognize in hindsight that I really should've pointed all of this out in the OP of each thread, but c'est la vie. ?
