bourbon-n00b
Hey, has anyone had experience with Kilchoman Machir Bay Cask Strength? My preferred supplier has it for $58 and it seems like a no-brainer. Unfortunately, I haven't had anything from this distillery to form an informed opinion. I like high-proof, aggressive and punchy Islays so I'm not overly concerned with this being too intense or lacking age but I wanted to see if anyone here has experience or opinion to the contrary. Thanks!
tanstaafl2
Not had it but that sure seems to be a decent price. The regular Machir Bay tends to be a solid if not outstanding whisky with a little sherry finishing to balance the typical solid peat base of the brand.
