Richnimrod
Hmmm. I always thought they'd just swab a little on the teething baby's tender gums? Or, maybe I just assumed that....

Both of our daughters preferred scotch when they wew teething - but not just any scotch, but The Macallan 12! Seemed to work, tho'. BTW, that was also SWMBO's favorite at teething time . . . IamMatt
I think it's great that 12-year old boys are naming cocktails. Wait, I forgot we are all 12-year old boys inside.

PaulO
I'll have to ask some friends if it's still there, Bloomington used to have a bar near campus and they had a long menu of mixed drinks. Most of the stuff on the menu had vulgar names. As far as cocktails go, pretty sure it was garbage - combinations including cheap well liquor, schnapps, artificially colored triple sec... And it's really, really early Sunday morning - what's a guy to do??? Edited Sunday at 09:47 AM by GeeTen

A couple years ago, someone released a James T. Kirk brand Bourbon. I guess it was a blend of several sourced Bourbons in a fancy bottle. I never saw one in person or heard much about it afterwards. Really? I have never watched a single episode of Star Trek

I have never watched a single episode of Star Trek I'm sure many have not. ...Particularly the "younger set". They have no idea what they're missing out on. Cheap and cheesy cardboard/painted sets, only barely adequate graphics for the most part... I grant all that. But, as far as the writing/plot lines? Pretty good TV for its time. ...And, more than a little social consciousness to boot. If one wishes to contrast it with the Star Wars 'series' of films; not a fair comparison IMO. The 'Trek' was ahead of its time even if it was a low-budget TV series that was briefly aired and quickly forgotten by many/most. But, an argument could be made that its influence far outdoes that brief and inexpensive TV run. All of the foregoing is, of course, merely my opinion.

I’m almost 60. I acknowledge I am in a rare place: I’ve never watched any of the Star Trek genres. At the same time, I’ve only seen one Star Wars. The very first one in 1977. I saw one half of a Harry Potter. Fell asleep in the theater which never happens usually. Now I have seen every episode of Mad Men, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, and SOS of Anarchy. I have watched all of these multiple times, each time every bit as enjoyable as the first time

Remocap Posted yesterday at 01:27 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:27 AM Have to throw this one in. Watched Star Trek all through the beginning. Probably 1980 at Purdue and the neighbor had cable. Farmer/engineers as we were, jumped the cable box on our adjoining apartments and saw the new Startreck in color. Was absolutely amazing. Long before internet and apple. We were just learning Fortran.
Remocap Posted yesterday at 01:38 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:38 AM Another odd thing from my neighborhood. 1.5 hours away from Frankfort Kentucky, 40 minutes away from Carrollton Kentucky. Weller green is $109.00 for a fat boy. My sons live in Austin Texas and I can buy it all day for $60.00+. Figure out the shipping cost and tell me what the problem is. Plenty of people here would love to see it for a decent price.
