Has anyone participated in this in past years and actually won the opportunity to purchase a barrel?  I know the chances are extremely remote, but, if in, one has a chance. A winner still has some work to do, biggest task is finding a local retailer to work with that will allow the winner to be part of the selection tasting process and won’t gouge the price or say “I’ll give you one free bottle if you assign the barrel to us”.

 

Just curious if anyone here has gone through the process and what your experience was.

Guy in one of our local groups (MI) got a barrel of Blantons... Another guy was 350th in line when it opened and got nothing.

Just opened up for this year.  Had an agreement thru a local group and a local retailer if anyone gets something.  I pulled #1499.   Not sticking around to see what's left by then.

I got #'s 1888, 10547, and 14807 so I got no shot.

We got 10,243 & 14,125.  I am afraid that if I hold my breath, I will be very blue.
