I think this is because they can’t buy as much aged MGP product anymore. The Belle Meade and BM Reserve have been all MGP as far as I know up to this point. They’ve been distilling their own juice for a while also. Maybe they want to put out different labels with their own juice so they aren’t doing a “High West bait & switch”, trying to keep the brand the same while significantly changing the juice in the bottle
